Advocacy Organizations To Hold Rally Opposing Voter Suppression In Georgia Legislature

ATLANTA -- Today, a broad coalition of civil rights organizations will hold a rally on the steps of the Georgia Capitol to oppose the juggernaut of voter suppression bills in Georgia’s state legislature, including bills such as HB 531 and SB 241.


This event will be open to the public, and will include speakers from advocacy organizations across the state to demand that these anti-voting bills be stopped and that Georgia’s legislators stop trying to silence the voices of voters.


WHEN: 10:00am ET

WHERE: State Capitol Steps, 206 Washington St.

INCLEMENT WEATHER PLAN:

This rally will be held outside. If it rains, the rally will still be held, but participants can attend virtually due to COVID concerns inside Georgia’s Capitol. Will be determined by 8:30am*
