Georgia NAACP Holds Two Press Conferences During Special Runoff Election
ATLANTA, GA –– The Georgia NAACP will be positioned to communicate with our 130 units across the state of Georgi throughout Election Day. Our leadership will ensure all election sites are operating efficiently and efficiently while maintaining the safety and ballot accessibility of voters throughout the state. Our units have worked diligently to report any issues that they are seeing in their counties. In addition, we have deployed poll monitors and legal observers to various precincts statewide who will also report any technical issues with voting machines, check-in times, and paper ballots.
"Election administration should not be partisan nor about pleasing political donors so you can win future elections. It should be about principles and integrity, ensuring that every voter can, and does, participate. Anything less is undemocratic and unethical." says Rev. James Woodall, State President of Georgia NAACP.
